Tai Yang employs innovative super-gravity carbonation system reaction technology to transform oyster shells into lightweight, hollow, micron-sized calcium carbonate particles. Additionally, Tai Yang extracts “Pearltide®” from the innermost layer of the shells, known as nacre or mother-of-pearl, using proprietary technology.
Previously, oyster shells were mainly recycled for low-value purposes like fertilizers, feed, and seedlings. On the other hand, Tai Yang focuses on creating high-value products, such aspharmaceuticals, health supplements, and cosmetics, to maximize the benefits of a circular economy.
