With a purity of more than 96%, no harmful substances, high specific surface area, uniform particle size, and good bioactivity, it has a wide range of uses in industrial applications, such as filler for special coatings, reducing carbon black usage in rubber products, replacing paper lime as a calcium additive for paper, and as a drug carrier in the biomedical field.

Tai Yang Industry and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) have joined hands to achieve an innovative breakthrough in the production of light calcium carbonate using patented technology. In this project, we employ the super-gravity carbonation system reaction technology, taking full advantage of its strengths to manufacture hollow micron-sized light calcium carbonate in a unique and highly efficient manner.

Oyster shell regeneration is a way of resource recycling. After calcination and carbonation processing, oyster shells can produce light calcium carbonate with different particle sizes and be transformed into new filler materials, reducing plastic additives.
